Tien Nguyen
Tien Nguyen is a co-founder of CCMC, a facilitator, and a transformative leader committed to helping individuals and organizations build stronger communication, healthier relationships, and safer communities. Rooted in the belief that connection creates change, Tien’s work centers on trauma-informed care, restorative practices, conflict resolution, and human-centered leadership.
With over a decade of lived experience and professional development, Tien has become a trusted voice in mediation, crisis response, and community building. He is a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDCC-II) through CADTP and has provided direct services to justice-impacted and unhoused populations. His approach integrates Motivational Interviewing (MI), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and trauma-informed practices to create spaces where people feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Tien earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology and Business Management from San Jose State University, where he developed a strong foundation in systems thinking and problem-solving. He brings that same mindset into his work today—helping organizations identify gaps, strengthen communication, and create solutions rooted in empathy, clarity, and action. His leadership philosophy is simple: “Create Space, Go for Connection, Together for Solutions.”
